What we use
myskin.ai does not use third party advertising or analytics trackers such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. We keep things simple and rely only on the following.
Essential WordPress cookies. WordPress sets a standard session cookie when you sign in, whether you’re a site administrator or a visitor with a MySkin.ai account, so you stay logged in as you browse. If you don’t create an account or log in, no login cookie is set.
Local browser storage. To make the skin assessment work smoothly, we store a small amount of information directly in your browser, using its local storage rather than a cookie sent to our server. This includes remembering that you’ve seen and dismissed our cookie notice, and keeping your in progress answers as you move through the assessment so you don’t lose them if you navigate back. This information stays on your device and is not shared with third parties.
Account data. If you choose to create a free MySkin.ai account, we store your name, email address and an encrypted password, along with your skin assessment answers, your personalised recommendations, and any products you save as favourites, so you can access them again whenever you sign back in. This information is stored securely in our WordPress database and is never sold or shared with third parties. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by contacting us.
Managing your preferences
You can clear this stored information at any time through your browser’s settings (usually under privacy or site data). Doing so simply means the assessment won’t remember where you left off, and you may see the cookie notice again.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features that use browser storage. Any changes will be posted on this page.
